Course Introduction
IOSH Managing Safely is the market-leading health and safety course for line managers is tried, tested and trusted. Designed to provide all managers with the confidence and enthusiasm to apply knowledge to the workplace.
Course Information
- It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the trainee operator will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- Module One: Introduction to Managing Safely
- Module Two: Assessing Risks
- Module Three: Controlling Risks
- Module Four: Understanding Responsibilities
- Module Five: Understanding Hazards
- Module Six: Investigating Incidents
- Module Seven: Measuring Performance
This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who will be Managing others as part of their working duties.
Delegate Requirements – Delegates should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness. It is, however, desirable (but not mandatory) that applicants should be literate and have had driving experience as an indication of dexterity
Novice – This course is designed for the complete Novice delegate.
IOSH – The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
OSH is the chartered professional body for health and safety in the workplace. It acts as a champion, supporter, adviser, advocate and trainer for those who protect the safety, health and wellbeing of others.
