Lifting Accessories Inspector

Course Introduction

The Lifting Accessories Inspector course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills required to carry out thorough examinations and inspections of various lifting accessories such as chains, slings, shackles, and hoists. The course is aimed at those who are responsible for ensuring the safe use of lifting equipment in the workplace and includes both theoretical and practical training.

During the course, participants will learn about the relevant legislation and regulations surrounding the use of lifting equipment, the different types of lifting accessories and their uses, how to conduct thorough examinations and inspections, and how to identify defects and damage that could compromise the safety of the equipment. Participants will also learn about the importance of maintaining accurate records and documentation. 

Course Information

This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who will be producing lifting accessories inspection reports as part of their working duties.

Delegate Requirements – Delegates should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.  It is, however, desirable (but not mandatory) that applicants should be literate and have had driving experience as an indication of dexterity

Novice – This course is designed for the complete Novice delegate but will be equally suited to those with industry knowledge and those looking to refresh their knowledge.
