Get Active - Knowsley

Get Active – Knowsley is an on-going initiative by Adapt (UK) Training Services that encourage’s children between the age of 6 – 16 to get involved in sport.

Our Managing Director Paul Hennessey witnessed first hand how bad COVID 19 had hit childrens health in terms of obesity and mental health issues in Knowsley.  This initiative was designed to tackle that.

We have had a special relationship with AFC Knowsley since 2015 where we have continued to support the youth teams.  AFC Knowsley is responsible for over 300 children including boys, girls, open age and disabled football teams.

Having assisted with HAF Programs and Soccer Camps since COVID 19 it continues to be a pleasure seeing children develop in a long term, friendly, safe and inclusive  environment.

AFC Knowsley is surely a credit to the local community.

On this event we had the pleasure of teaming up with Liverpool Canoe Club where over 40 Knowsley residents (including Mums and Dads) tested their skills on a range of craft such as canoes, kyaks and stand up paddleboards.

Before this day, we also pledged to pay up to 100 annual family memberships with Liverpool Canoe Club so that families could continue the sport all year around.
