Learn to work safely at height: the hazards, how to plan and organise the work, how accidents happen and how to prevent them, and what to do in an emergency. A practical half day course leading to an NPORS ID card.

Course content

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the industry, its dangers and their responsibilities when working at height
  • Define height work, identify the hazards of working above ground level and outline how to control them
  • Identify the causes of accidents when working at height
  • Understand how to plan and organise work at height
  • Set up an exclusion zone, explain emergency actions and identify overhead hazards
  • Identify and maintain PPE suitable for working at height
  • Demonstrate working at height and explain the safety issues that could arise

Who should attend

Anyone already working, or preparing to work, in industry who will work at height as part of their job.

Novice: designed for complete novices, and equally suited to those looking to refresh their knowledge.

Delegate requirements: delegates should be physically fit and in good health.

Qualification

Successful delegates receive an NPORS ID card and registration. NPORS has been a trusted, recognised name in the industry since 1992.
