Course Introduction
The IPAF MEWPs for Managers course is tailored to train supervisors and managers on the proper selection, usage, and management of different types of MEWPs within their control. The training covers a wide range of industries, including construction, facilities management, retail, airports, and arboriculture. The course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safe and efficient use of MEWPs in their workplace

This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who will be using a Telehandler as part of their working duties.
Delegate Requirements – Delegates should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness. It is, however, desirable (but not mandatory) that applicants should be literate and have had driving experience as an indication of dexterity
Novice – This course is designed for the complete Novice delegate but will also be suitable for those
IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) training programs are designed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). IPAF offers several specific training categories, including IPAF 3a, 3b, and 1b, each tailored to different types of MEWPs and their operation.
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the widest sense – through providing technical advice and information; through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards; and through safety initiatives and training programmes.
IPAF is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members, which include manufacturers, rental companies, distributors, contractors and users. IPAF members operate a majority of the MEWP rental fleet worldwide and manufacture about 85% of platforms on the market.
