The NPORS 201 – 180 Excavator (Backhoe) Training course is a comprehensive training program designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required to operate a 180 Excavator (Backhoe) effectively and safely within the construction industry. This course encompasses a range of critical aspects, including pre-use inspection and handovers, safe operation of the equipment, and the execution of various construction tasks such as trenching, backfilling, leveling, and marking out.

One of the foundational components of this 180 excavator training course is the emphasis on pre-use inspection and handovers. Participants will learn how to thoroughly inspect the 180 Excavator (Backhoe) before use, ensuring that it is in proper working condition. They will also gain an understanding of how to complete essential documentation related to equipment handovers, ensuring a seamless transition between operators and promoting safety.

Safety is a paramount concern in the construction industry, and this 180 excavator training course places a significant emphasis on safe operation. 180 Excavator Course Information

This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who will be using a 180 excavator as part of their working duties.

Delegate Requirements – Delegates should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.  It is, however, desirable (but not mandatory) that applicants should be literate and have had driving experience as an indication of dexterity

Novice – This course is designed for the complete Novice delegate.

Experienced – Delegates must have used the equipment in a range of operations for a minimum of 3 months.

Refresher – Delegates must have already attended a course and have valid proof in the form of certification.
