PASMA Towers with Bridges
Course Introduction
Towers with bridges provide a long, uninterrupted platform area while leaving clear space at ground level. This is useful for a whole host of tasks, such as aircraft maintenance, where you’re working above any type of obstruction or need to leave an access route for vehicles or pedestrians.
PASMA Towers with Bridges for Users will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with towers with bridges.

- It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the trainee operator will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- How to safely assemble, dismantle, alter towers with bridges

- What legislation, regulations and guidance are applicable to these towers
- Work at height responsibilities, employers, employees & suppliers
- Standards affecting the manufacture and use of towers with bridges
- Where to find crucial safety information
- When it is & isn’t safe to use towers with bridges
- Carrying out pre-use checks and post-assembly inspections
- The components used in towers with bridges
- Good Practices for the safe use of towers with bridges
- Accessing a platform safely
- Identifying hazards in the work environment
- Avoiding personal health hazards
This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who will be using Access Towers on Stairways as part of their working duties.
Delegate Requirements – Delegates should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness. Delegates will be required to climb to height during the course.
Novice – This course is designed for someone who has completed PASMA Towers for users who are a novice with towers with bridges but it is equally suitable for delegates with industry experience and those looking to renew their PASMA Card.
PASMA, is the international not-for-profit association for the mobile access tower industry. Representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users, it provides and oversees the industry standard training scheme and is a major publisher of safety-related knowledge, information and guidance.
This course is approved for CITB Levy Funding.
